Carroll Township was founded in 1835. The township contains 33.7 square miles of land, and is home to more than 1,900 residents. Carroll Township is home to wildlife, farming, fishing, boating, and Davis-Besse nuclear power plant. During the summer months, many tourists join the population of Carroll Township to take advantage of the natural beauty found on Lake Erie and the Toussaint River.

Attention Carroll Township Residents: SPRING Cleanup is here!! The township will once again be hosting spring cleanup at the Carroll Township Complex. The dates are May 16 and 17 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Saturday May 18 from 7-noon. There will be dumpsters available for both metal and trash, but NO tires or paint will be allowed. Township residents will be asked to show proof of residency at the time of arrival. Please DO NOT leave garbage on the ground around the dumpsters or over fill! There will be workers available to assist anyone who is in need.
